more IM x H&M

More is more, ha. I made it out to a couple of H&M stores yesterday that still had some Isabel Marant items left in stock. I lucked out at one because someone my size returned the 2 jackets that you see above. They are most amazing, and to be honest, they are much more versatile than the signature jacket below (that I returned).

The oversized sweatshirt is perfect over skinny jeans and uh, everything else. The slouch factor is at a perfect 10 for this sweatshirt. I love the black and white printed silk slouchy pants. It was true to size. And the belt is the coolest belt ever.

I was beyond lucky to find the black leather lace-up pants in the size I needed (next size up) at the store. I can now button and zip with ease and they are so rockandrolla. I think the fringe boots, the leather pants and the jackets are my favorite. But yet, I love the rest as well.

This collabo is my kryptonite. I cannot resist. But I think I’m done. Outfits to follow!

Isabel Marant x H&M

Veni, vedi, veci the Isabel Marant for H&M collaboration. I have long been an Isabel Marant fan, most especially of her shoes and jackets. So, I was anxiously awaiting the launch last Thursday. Thankfully, I pounced because most of the women’s collection is sold out online and in stores.

Unfortunately, the signature jacket will be returned.

I knowingly bought it 2 sizes too small, but yet interestingly enough, there was dead space in the shoulders which poufed out further than my actual shoulders. I looked like a Parisian linebacker.

I’m on the fence about the black leather pants. They are seriously gorgeous and they fit everything but my waist, gah. Leather is supposed to stretch out over time, but I would be asking for a miracle here. I’m debating whether to exchange them for the white leather version of the pants, in the next size up.

The boots are my favorite. The fringe moves when you move, love that. And the slouchy shape that is the signature of Isabel Marant’s style is totally there (see also the dress above). The pumps are super fun and they match with everything. I love the jewelry too.

I think this is the best high-low collaboration ever. It’s the first time I’ve ever bought more than 1 or 2 pieces of a collection.

Did you check it out?

Striped Camo Print Scarf in Green & Blue (old but similar options here & here); J.Crew Factory Two-Pocket Chambray Shirt in Blue Chambray.

Picked up a couple of camo scarves from one of my new favorite stores, JC Penney, for about $10 each. Love the neon border stripe on the green and the cobalt blue border stripe on the grey. They are great lightweight scarves, but are big enough to layer and allow for some creative knotting. I love a good scarf, don’t you?

Joe Fresh Fashion Marled Jogging Pants in Grey Melange.

I just went to the dark side. Sweatpants. Was it too far off after wearing sweatshirts last winter? It. Was. Inevitable.

You know I love my pj slouchy pants (remember this?). But I wanted something warmer and cozy for fall and winter. These are not the sweats you wear that are from 10 years ago, ready for a big night of chick flicks and Chinese delivery. You can dress these up a little, like a skinny jean or ponte pants (see this outfit).

I think the Joe Fresh marled jogging pants from JC Penney are a steal (as compared to the beloved J.Crew Saturday pants). I think they are true to size, you could even size up to the next larger size for a slouchy look. I just ordered the Madewell marled slouchpants (the last pair on Shopbop!), I couldn’t stop thinking of these pants since I first saw them a couple of months ago.

Update: I returned the Madewell marled slouchpants due to the condition of the pants when I took it out of the package. There was pilling in the crotch area, which led me to believe it was a returned item before it got to me. I hate pilling because it only gets worse. Shopbop was great about my returning the item and I let them know about the pilling too.

I’m still loving my Joe Fresh jogging pants. No pilling and they retain their shape, I’m very pleased with them.
