a new coat

Put together. That’s how I felt as soon as I put on my new Isabel Marant for H&M wool coat. I love the masculine vibe and the slouchy fit. This coat reminds me of my father’s old wool dress overcoat that I wore to death when I was a teen. I loved that coat because it was my dad’s, but I also loved how it provided instant polish to my outfits. I feel like my jeans and sneakers are somehow elevated, even if it’s by a small degree, with the new coat.

Vests are great in keeping you warm but without the major bulk. You can still wear your coat over your outfit without sleeves getting jammed somewhere around your biceps. Winter hasn’t even officially started and I’m over it.

Sweater coats are the bomb when the temps are below freezing outside. This Vince sweater coat has a hood, which I’m using to retain my body heat. So, Obi-Wan Kenobi checking in, lol.

I matched the relatively warm but grey day outside. I added a bright red plaid scarf and cognac boots for some much needed pops of color.

This Isabel Marant for H&M outfit is crazy comfortable. I could seriously wear this outfit everyday and just change up the shoes. The sweatshirt is cut generously, I bought mine in a medium size. I had to go up one size from my usual for the lace-up leather pants, so they have a little slouch going on too.
