First, do not delay since both promo codes at J.Crew expire at 11:59 pm tonight. Second, I visited the J.Crew store shortly before my Cabo trip and I got to try on a few items that I’ve been eyeing online and in the monthly catalogues. This is where the reviews come in.
Here are my picks and reviews:
This top and dress are adorable with the festive sleeves. It takes your stripe game to a whole other level. The sizing is generous in the torso, I had to size down to XXS (I’m normally a XS). Plus, the sleeves did not pouf or stick out as much when I sized down. I’m wearing a size XXS in the first picture (navy stripes) and a size XS in the second and third pics (black stripes dress and top). I bought the navy striped top.
I’m wearing a size 24 on the left and a size 25 (my usual) on the right. Both sizes were comfortable but I had to size down because the back yoke of the size 25 skirt was poufing out. The size 24 lay flat in the front and back, so it came home and to Cabo with me. Here was my outfit in Cabo:
Free People off-the-shoulder top in chambray; J.Crew frayed white denim skirt; Sam Edelman Gretchen sandals in golden caramel; Madewell circle pendant necklace (old, similar) & lightvision earrings; J.Crew Factory golden cuff bracelet.
J.Crew Painter striped tee in navy and red.
This is a great sale value. It’s already on sale for $19.99 but with the respective aforementioned discounts, the t-shirt nets to $13.99 or $11.99 each. I plan on wearing these with my navy sailor pants and white sailor shorts (coming up next). They also have the tee in grey and in light blue, but I feel the navy and red stripes are the most striking and nautical inspired.
I tried on the Gazebo pants during my store visit, but I didn’t have time to snap a picture. They weren’t on sale that day so I held off until now. They are a true crop length on me with a 23″ inseam and the fit is so flattering. It’s true to size (I got a size 0) and the linen fabric has a nice weight and drape to it. The white color pant was lined very well. It’s a dressier pant for the warmer months and they will showcase your waist (if your top is tucked in) and your pretty sandals or shoes.
I have not seen the shorts in person but how cute are they? I hope they fit well.
Another great sale value with this bikini in this colorway (select colors are on sale). My husband loves this shade of blue and it’s one of the Pantone colors of the year, Serenity blue. I bought a size Small in both pieces, which is my usual J.Crew swimwear size. This shade of blue should really contrast well with a nice summer tan.
Are you planning to shop the sale at J.Crew? What your your faves?
