The weather has been beautiful this week, sunny and the 80’s during the daytime. But in the early mornings and evenings, there is the slightest chill in the air. A nice reminder that fall is coming.

I have been wanting this J.Crew gold lamé shirtdress for the longest time. I waited to purchase it when there was a 30% off promo code. I ordered this in a size 0 and it’s true to size. I like the subtle sheen and loose fit, it’s an easy and comfortable dress to wear. There’s a zipper in the back of the dress in addition to the front button placket, so it’s a breeze to get it off and on. It’s further reduced in price now and there’s an additional 25% off with code SHOPNOW. But, it’s a final sale item.

I’m still digging the fringe (with my cuff & sandals) and it’s sticking around for this fall and winter after seeing an abundance of boots, sweaters and jackets with fringe accents.

Now, I can officially break out the Barefoot Dreams cardigan that I purchased in July from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s since sold out, unfortunately. I think the Barefoot Dreams company makes baby blankets (my guess after perusing their instagram account), which may explain the incredible softness of this cardigan. I had also purchased the navy striped cardigan during the Anniversary Sale, but I ended up gifting it to a dear friend of mine. She’s a gorgeous blonde, so the blue colors looked amazing on her. So, my plan is to buy these cardigans in future anniversary sales and give them as gifts because they get such a positive response.

Happy Thursday to you!

Thanks yunahsf! I was thinking & hoping the gold was seasonless.
My friend is beyond thoughtful to my family and me, so I jumped on the chance to make her happy. 🙂
      Have a great upcoming weekend!

This outfit is amazing! I love how you paired the Barefoot Dreams cardigan with it! Thank you again for the navy Barefoot Dreams cardigan! I have worn it so many times already as the weather is cooling down a bit in Minnesota! It is so comfortable! You are amazing!

You’re the best, thanks so much Kristen! I was hoping it all worked together. 🙂

If you have a chambray or denim shirtdress (or your jumpsuit!), or even a chambray or denim button-down shirt, you can do a cool tonal outfit. I would also play with patterns and pair the cardi with a blue plaid, a great fall look. I’m so happy you love it, Kristen!

Stay warm and cozy in MN! xoxo

This is so very pretty! i really like this neutral gold look and got to find a way to copy it (cant afford the jcrew dress right now…lol). Usually when I think gold, i think back at the early 2000 garish super shiny metallic outfits if you know what I mean. lol

I know I must be late in this but I love your hair cut! I too cut mine several weeks ago…..so nice to feel ‘light headed’ and use less shampoo….lol.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! Cant believe fall is already here.

Thank you so much for always going out of your way to find these for me. ❤ ❤ First you go out of your way to give me advice about tricep workout and now this. thank you much again. ❤

i was just reading your recent posts about madewell winwin sale. you are really tempting with those awesome finds like that pocketed plaid top and oh-so-cute skinny overalls. i promised myself no more overalls at my age since they were so big in the 90's, but the 90's were loose and somehow look more juvenile…i might break my promise to myself if you end up liking the madewell skinny overalls that you will buy. lol

I really dig your style…i love how you make basics and neutrals not just classy, but bring it to another level of fun and yet make it your very own. i completely changed my style a year ago and really got into the chic, simple neutral look. (i was into lots of pastel or bold color, florals, lace almost to the point of the overt cutesy-cutesy kawaii Japanese style; then one day looking at the mirror, I realized how tacky I look in the clothes at my age….LOL.) Anyway, I thought it would hard to look stylish without being boring in neutral/basics…i confess i still struggle a bit with it, but your blog amongst 1-2 others that I follow are very inspiring and helpful. 🙂

You made my night, thank you Madie! I really appreciate your kind words and feedback. I love that you’re having fun with your personal style! I find that I’m doing the same as well. As they say, Yolo! I will be on the lookout for a subtle metallic dress for you. Thank you again for your lovely comments, they really made me smile! 🙂

Have a great upcoming week! xx
