it’s all about Black Friday

How was your Thanksgiving? Hope it was a day filled with loved ones and good eats! We went to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday morning, it was so much fun to see it up close and personal. Here are some Instagram pics of my sister and me as well as several of my favorite balloons (you can find me at Valleyoftheshoes):

So, Black Friday is finally here. Are you ready for the savings? Here are a few wish list gift ideas that will be sure to please:

Clinique cleansing value set. I’ve heard nothing but raves about the new Clinique cleansing brush, it gives the Clarisonic a run for it’s money. Starting with a super clean face will help all of your facial products work better. I don’t know about you, but I spend a pretty penny on all of my anti-aging serums, toners, moisturizers, etc. Anything to make them more effective is a huge plus. The brush is the regular full-sized brush and it comes with travel sizes of the cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

Sorel Joan of Arctic boots. Yesterday, I was comfortable being outdoors for 4+ hours. Except for my feet. They were freezing. I ordered these boots because my feet did not warm up until today. Bloomingdale’s had a 15% promo code yesterday (that expired today unfortunately), but they will deduct $25 off your $200 order and Sorel boots are not excluded (unlike other retailers, looking at you Shopbop, J.Crew and Madewell).

11/30/14 UPDATE: Bloomingdale’s started their Cyber Monday 25% off selected merchandise today (expires tomorrow night) and these boots are now 25% off. This is major! I’d check out their website to see if the 25% discount applies to a brand that’s normally excluded from most retailers’ discount promos. They have some premium designer brands on sale, like Burberry, but the 25% may or may not apply (look for Cyber Monday text in the description to get that promo).

Lotuff Leather wallet. I recently purchased a Lotuff Leather wallet for my husband. He loves it, says it’s the nicest wallet he’s ever had. He finds it functional and stylish. Most importantly, he loves the feel of this premium leather and it’s so comfortable in his pants pocket. Lotuff Leather is an American company and all of their leather goods are made in the USA. This wallet is all leather, except for thread. No fabric or plastic is to be found anywhere, it’s truly made to last and enjoy for many years to come.

My mom would be so jealous that you went to the parade! She watches it every year. Cold feet are no fun. The Sorels are a great solution. Love your pics 🙂

Glad you got to spend time with your sister for Thanksgiving. What a great parade. Wow those balloons are huge. Sorry your feet froze but glad you were able to order the boots for Black Friday. I had a little Tory Burch BF haul myself as seen here. http://davisbe.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/pre-black-friday-shopping/
Also bought during the same sale but not included in the BF sale promo were these Tory sandals. I picked them cuz I wanted to buy myself something quite feminine to mark my 3 year anniversary of being a Tory Burch customer. It’s also a bonus that I’m able to enjoy them right away since in on a 3 week vacation in the Arizona sun. https://davisbe.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/image9.jpg
    Great post, thanks for sharing.

Ahh THANKS for your kind words. I’d overlooked the Tory boots mostly because of the cost. But getting my black ones (a few months ago) and now these almond ones both on sale, ended up costing the same as one pair full price ($500) 😊

Thanks I will. Two for one is pretty awesome buy I did pay full price for this Tory jacket. https://davisbe.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/dsc04503.jpg. I guess it all works out but there is a price for Tory Burch happiness. It’s priceless.

Ahh thanks. Since my TB sales associate and I decided I needed a better personal style look for Fall and Winter she has kept me informed about things that might work for me. We decided this jacket was a perfect unisex but still feminine look for me. I love the way it looks from the back too.
